Handmade according to the original instructions of Dr Edward Bach, using his original methods and the exact plant species he identified.

Agrimony flower essence is traditionally chosen for those who hide their worries and inner struggles behind a cheerful, carefree exterior. People who benefit from Agrimony often appear positive and good-humoured while quietly carrying anxiety, emotional pain or inner restlessness. They often prefer to keep their struggles private rather than burden others or disturb the harmony around them. Agrimony supports greater emotional honesty and self-acceptance, helping you acknowledge your feelings instead of keeping them hidden.

Indications that Agrimony may be needed

  • Hiding emotional pain behind a cheerful or humorous exterior
  • Saying you're "fine" when you're quietly struggling
  • Avoiding conflict or difficult conversations to keep the peace
  • Suppressing anxiety, inner turmoil or persistent worrying thoughts
  • Keeping busy to avoid facing difficult emotions
  • Using humour or distraction to avoid talking about personal problems
  • Finding it difficult to express vulnerability or ask for support
  • Feeling that few people really know how you're feeling

When Agrimony may be the right choice

You may be the person others describe as "always cheerful" or "always positive". You may be the one who keeps everyone smiling, avoids arguments and tries to make life easier for those around you.

Although you appear relaxed on the outside, you may carry your worries privately. Rather than sitting with uncomfortable emotions, you may throw yourself into work, social activities or other distractions. You may also notice a tendency to minimise your own problems or use humour to avoid serious conversations.

Agrimony and similar flower essences

Several flower essences from the Bach system can involve hiding feelings or avoiding conflict but the reason behind the behaviour is different.

Agrimony and Centaury

Both may avoid confrontation and put other people first. Agrimony does this to preserve harmony and hide inner distress. Centaury gives in more readily because of a gentle nature and difficulty saying no.

Agrimony and Cherry Plum

Both may keep difficult emotions hidden. Agrimony prefers not to upset others, while Cherry Plum is associated with fear that powerful emotions could become overwhelming.

Agrimony and Star of Bethlehem

Both may appear calm despite emotional pain. Agrimony hides ongoing inner struggles, whereas Star of Bethlehem is traditionally chosen when shock, grief or trauma has not yet been fully processed.

The positive potential of Agrimony

With greater emotional honesty, it becomes easier to accept both the joyful and difficult parts of life without needing to hide behind a cheerful exterior. Feelings can be expressed more openly and problems faced with greater perspective and resilience. The result is a genuine sense of inner peace, authenticity and the freedom to be yourself.

How to Use

This is a stock level essence that can be taken directly or combined with up to 6 other essences in a treatment bottle. If you'd prefer your chosen essences prepared for you, you can order a custom blend here.

When taking from the stock bottle, the recommended dosage is 4 drops at least 4 times a day, especially in the morning and before bedtime. For acute situations, you may take the essence more frequently.

Alternatively, for a more gentle effect you can add 4 drops to a glass of water to sip throughout the day. You can combine up to 7 essences using this method.

Agrimony

I started to note the changes in myself after using this essence for 3 weeks. Now, I am on the fifth week and I feel better as I am opening up slowly without masking my sad feelings with a smile to a certain extent.
