What Are Flower Essences?

Flower and vibrational essences capture the unique energy of specific flowers, gems or crystals in liquid form. They support emotional wellbeing and balance, and help you navigate your thoughts and feelings in the present moment. Additionally, they promote deeper transformation and inner change, fostering a stronger connection with your inner self.

The Bach Flower Remedies are the most well-known and widely recognised vibrational essences, developed by Dr Edward Bach in the 1930s; however, there are many other high-quality essences from around the world, as well as thousands of individuals who prepare their own flower essences from their gardens and natural surroundings, just as Dr Bach encouraged.

Each flower or natural element carries a distinct vibrational pattern. When prepared as an essence, that pattern is captured in water and then preserved - typically in a small amount of brandy. The result is a subtle yet powerful remedy that works energetically rather than physically, and while they may resemble herbal tinctures or essential oils in form, flower essences are entirely different in how they function.

How to Take Flower Essences

  • Oral Use: Place drops under the tongue. It is important to ensure the glass dropper doesn't touch your mouth to prevent contamination, and it's best to take essences at least 10 minutes away from food.

  • In Water: Add drops to a glass of water and sip throughout the day.

  • Spray: Spray into your auric field or around your body to support energetic balance and integration.

Essences work beautifully on their own or alongside other natural therapies such as acupuncture, homeopathy, Reiki or kinesiology.

Note: If increased dosage is desired, it's better to increase the frequency of treatment rather than the number of drops. For example, take drops under the tongue eight times per day. Increasing the number of drops will not improve the efficacy of the treatment.
