Pink Flannel Flower is a rare and delicate plant from the Apiaceae family, closely related to Flannel Flower and Little Flannel Flower. It is found only in a handful of remote areas along the Great Dividing Range and had not been seen in bloom for over forty years at the time its essence was first made.
Its soft daisy-like appearance features a dense, vivid pink centre surrounded by lighter pink sepals - usually 11 or 12 in number. Though small, the blooms are larger than those of the Little Flannel Flower, typically measuring around 1 cm in diameter but occasionally growing up to 3 cm. The plant itself stands 30 to 40 cm tall, with fine, hairy branches radiating outward from its central base.
